The Ann Bluejack Healthcare Advancement Educational Program, is designed to offer online training opportunities for our Nigerian healthcare partners to consistently train outside our in-country medical mission presence. The mission of VOOM Foundation is to provide quality medical programs through training and education while serving the poor and vulnerable.
The VOOM education program is named in memory of the late Ms. Ann Bluejack, who was the benefactor for a young, Vincent Ugochukwu Ohaju, the founder and current CEO for VOOM Foundation. Ms. Bluejack, who was a retired registered nurse, recognized young Vincent's potential and offered to pay his first semester college tuition, a sacrifice from her life savings but in the compassionate and selfless spirit in which she lived her life.
Ms. Bluejack lived a life of serving others and remained dedicated to those who struggled the most. During her time as a nurse she worked at Spibat in Victoria Island. Upon her retirement, she moved to a smaller village where she started a school and began to teach young poor children, continuing her passion to help those in need and her commitment to education.
Ms. Bluejack's memory lives on through VOOM Foundation. It is the VOOM Foundation's mission to train and education through our medical program and to serve the poor. VOOM Foundation has provided over 60,000 training hours to date, with our partner hospitals in Nigeria.
