“Positively impacting Nigerian healthcare... for good.”

VOOM Foundation Welcomes Public Health Intern – Madison Verzwyvelt

Madison is a senior at Texas A&M University majoring in Public Health with a minor in business. She is passionate about serving others in the community in terms of providing people with necessary health care. Following graduation, she hopes to attend Texas A&M for 2 more years and obtain a Masters in Health Administration. She would love to work in administration in any form of health care from nursing homes to hospitals.

After speaking with the director about my passion for non-profits in the public health arena, I was hooked on VOOM’s mission right from the beginning. Already as a part of the VOOM team, I have learned of the imperative need for the provision of health care in developing countries and my desire to work in the field has grown even more. I am eager to learn more about the non-profit sector in the field of public health and support VOOM in the process through fundraising and campaign building. My biggest hope is to one day be able to attend a mission to Nigeria and witness the incredible change VOOM is making there myself.
