Dearest Friends, Family and Colleagues,

I have been selected to join VOOM Foundation in December on their 13th open-heart medical mission.  The mission will be held at two locations, Lagos State Univeristy Teaching Hospital/LASUTH in Lagos, Nigeria and at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital and our goal is to serve indigent patients that have no option other than our service.   I am very excited to take this journey as serve the people of Nigeria who were without an open-heart surgery program until 2013 when VOOM Foundation re-opened the abandoned program.  I will be working one-on-one with the local cardiac staff teaching them skills pertains to open-heart surgery, while working in a tough environment with limited resources,  yet giving to a community in desperate need of an open-heart program.   I am asking all my friends, family and colleagues to consider supporting this great journey I will be taking and investing my future work.  More information on VOOM is posted below.  Thank you for your consideration!

In 2014, VOOM Foundation through a partnership with the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, restarted the once abandoned open-heart program in Nigeria.  Nigerian’s suffering from heart disease either traveled out of the country for surgery or died.  In Nigeria, with the population of 175M at the time, it was the only opportunity for Nigerians suffering from heart disease to get surgery.  VOOM travels several times a year to Nigeria to perform life-saving surgery to those in need.  To date, VOOM Foundation leads all health organizations in open-heart in the country.   The long-term goal of VOOM Foundation is to create a sustaining healthcare program based on quality that provides impartial healthcare to everyone despite their ability to pay.
